In 2022, we joined the over 300 Certified B Corporations in Canada, and became the first certified architectural firm in British Columbia. B Corp Certification is awarded to businesses that meet high standards of verified social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. Vines engaged Hessey to plan, coordinate, and execute a feasibility study, including a facility plan, for a new arts hub. The hub will provide a space that enables community gathering, networking, relationship building and project development.
VMAA works to promote and sustain the field of contemporary art jewellery. Hessey was engaged by VMAA to help plan a Metal Arts Hub as a regional centre intended to support the growth, sustainability, and vibrancy of artisan-scale metal arts practices.
Hessey was engaged by to create a facility plan for renovation and optimal space use that would benefit Gallery Gachet’s staff, artists and community members. Gallery Gachet is an artist–run gallery that encompasses a range of programs that serve exhibiting artists, community arts and community events.
